Andrea reminded me (thanks!) about mvn -Pextensive.tests install.
With extensive tests turned on referencing and epsg-hsql modules build
with out error using vecmath 1.5.2.

So I can recommend it as an option.

Andrea has also asked that I try out vecmath 1.3.2 which I will do so
next; I don't think it makes any difference to Alex (who will check
out whatever version the community decides on for his review).
