Hi Jerome, when you open your OpenLayers-page with the layer in it just right click on it and let it show you the requested picture directly. There are two possibilities: You get an image which is correctly delivered but with no polygons in it or you get an error message from geoserver which perhaps tells you more about what is not working.
But it seems to me that geoserver is rendering correctly because the log-entries indicate correct requests. How about reducing your openlayers to the minimum number of elements?
