I have 2 ImageMosaic layers in GeoServer 2.1.1 with a few 8-bit large GeoTIFF
images in each; one layer has 1m resolution, the other 10cm resolution, both
have embedded pyramid/overview images. When I look at the layers by themselves
(e.g. with the preview), they have good color and contrast. However, when I add
both layers to a layer group and look at that, the resulting image loses almost
all color and contrast; it becomes mostly grey with just a little color left. I
tried debugging, but could not find the code where the actual painting happens.
What could cause this loss of color and contrast? Is there any way to control
the rendering in a layer group?
I am using GeoServer 2.1.1 with JDK 1.6.0_33 and JAI 1.1.3, ImageIO comes with
GeoServer.
