Looks like there's enough support on the iPhone to render a JPIP stream as well.

I'll have to play around with this this weekend and see what I can scrap
together.
I imagine a JPIP stream to the iPhone will be faster than WMS, TMS HTTP Calls??

I noticed too late that those BitTorrents are ECW files so they are not for
JPIP. I am prepering some new JPEG2000 mosaics but they are not ready yet.
Right now there is whole lot of JPEG2000 orthoimages with attribution-only
license downloadable through this link

Those JPEG2000 images are created so that they suit well to be used as source
for JPIP servers
