A few months ago my wife switched from gnome to xfce because gnome was just too slow. I performed the X upgrade on her computer last night, and now she can't get her usual screen resolution of 1024x768 because it's not on "the list". Is there a way I can get it on "the list"? She doesn't have an /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, as the upgrade guide recommended getting rid of it. Several sites on the 'Net suggested using the xf86Config file, but she doesn't seem to have one.
