Thanks to all of you. I did unmerge setarch, and the emerge is now on its way. I just did not know that setarch was included in the newer util-linux, hence was scared to remove it just like that... Neil: I did google for it, but I guess not in the right place. Will try harder next time. Thanks a lot JM
