Certainly no more effort, but it seems that it's possibly much more compute time which would get in the way of me running real time audio on my machines. For my wife and son's machines it's a non-issue. I'd let them choose which they prefer, with the caveat that should they have a problem with somethign I'm not running they are a bit more on their own. No big deal.
