I have come across WiFi interference from adjacent properties/users causing channel noise and regular signal drop outs. Finding a less congested WiFi channel and/or switching frequency band from 2.4GHz to the less congested 5/6Ghz usually fixes this problem, or at least it makes it less noticeable. The sudden stop of your NIC re-associating with the router at 3pm seems to indicate the cause of the radio interference, whatever that was, is gone. Let's hope it stays this way. :-)
