There is something _seriously_ wrong with the device. 1. It shouldn't take anywhere near that wrong to create a filesystem: there just isn't that much data written during an 'mkfs' operation. 2. Writing even that small amount of data FAILED. I can't understand why you want to continue using this device. > FYI I bought 4 Kingston 128 GB sticks in 2023 & had no problem with > them.
