In any case, it doesn't work, or not here. After reading 'man sddm.conf' I set DisplayServer=x11 in /etc/sddm.conf.d/01gentoo.conf, rebooted, set up my desktops as I wanted them and logged out and in again. Everything was piled up on Desktop 1, as before. -- Regards, Peter.
