The build with the AM5 mobo took a backseat. The lack of PCIe slots just kept buggin me until I decided I didn't want to go that route. Basically, it didn't suite my needs without jumping through some hoops that I don't like. Plus, with my health, I can't jump through hoops. :/ So, I went with a AM4 setup that has more PCIe slots and suites my needs better, except being a little slower CPU wise. It will also make a better NAS box later on and will likely be good enough until it blows smoke. It doesn't take a whole lot to move files from drives to network. So, AM5 out, AM4 in. Parts on the way, some already here. As expected, the State USPS hub still has a LOT of the stuff that was supposed to come in today. If they don't move tomorrow, I'm going to squeak loudly, so that I get the grease. The squeaky wheel thing. UPS didn't let me down tho. I got the mobo and memory today. I installed the memory and m.2 stick thingy on the mobo. No heatsink for the m.2 yet so when that comes in, off it comes to install that. I still can't get over the size of the m.2 stick. It looks like a long postage stamp. Oh, it has some nice PCIe slots. They mostly X1 with all the bifurcation thingy but still, PCIe slots. This thread went sideways when I changed to AM4. Dale :-) :-)
