Not sure what you mean here, although in essence any "rename" operation in this context is always just a "mv" anyway. Maybe you missed that I was talking about emelfm2, where shift+F6 lets you change the name of the file you want to move before moving it. If you change the name to something that exist in the destination, then you'll get asked if you want to replace it. Regards, Arve
