It works fine here © (xfce + lightdm).
Do you have :
> session-wrapper=/etc/lightdm/Xsession
Enabled in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf ?
/etc/lightdm/Xsession is sourcing
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/80-dbus
which runs dbus-launch.
