That's what I meant. How about the AddOutputFilter INCLUDES <extension> line from my previous mail? Do you have that anywhere in your config, for the <extension> of the file that is trying to include another? Our default Apache config has it commented-out in 00_mod_mime.conf, and only for the "shtml" extension. If that's what you want, you can simply uncomment it; or if you need something more fancy you might have to add your own AddOutputFilter lines.
