If I stumble across a BUG() or OOPS, I can go straight to lkml and
report it, without somebody saying 'try to reproduce it with a plain
linux kernel'. Also, the less patches the smaller the chance that
somebody introduced some arcane incompatibility. Important if you are
inclined to use third party drivers or out of tree file systems.

Also, gentoo-sources never gave me anything I did miss with vanilla
sources. So why using them?
