Anyone up to forking udev? What will we be needing?

I can volunteer virtual servers (on top of XenServer and/or VMware --
take your pick).

And maybe one physical server.

I noticed a new directory the other day. I found out it belongs to cups. It is named Resources. If cups can use that, why not put the stuff udev needs in there?
