I tried several revdep-rebuild/lafilefixer cycles with similar frustration (although on another machine it just worked) but rebuilding everything with -lpng12 in a .la file, as per my last post, allowed revdep-rebuild to complete. I try to avoid emerge -e world because 1: It is time consuming. 2: It may still not work after all that time. 3: It is too much like the Gentoo equivalent of a reinstall and you are none the wiser as to why it fixed something. -- Neil Bothwick Top Oxymorons Number 6: Pretty ugly
