What about running the bootstrap script with the "--fetchonly" flag - this downloads all the packages needed for the bootstrap. You can then disconnct and re-run it normally - it should find the files already on the disk and just build the packages. Later on, you could make a list of all the packages you are likely to need and again use "--fetchonly" with emerge to simply grab all the packages you need in one go. -- -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
