Portage prevents the gthumb installer from writing to files gthumb does not own. If you want gthumb allow to do this, FEATRUES="-sandbox" emerge gthumb should work. It's probably a good idea to make a backup of this scrollkeeper_docs file just in case it gets corrupted.
