I found using a separate partition for /opt was a pain, so I mounted /usr/ opt at /opt. It keeps partitioning that bit simpler. I do the same with / var on a desktop, although I use a separate /var partition on a server. I have a total of five "system" partition, more than enough IMO: / 350M /boot 50M swap 1G /usr 8G /tmp 2G -- Neil Bothwick If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?
