Could someone with this problem try changing their use flags to "-opengl", and then "emerge -Dv --newuse". Ok, you'll have to add "x11-base/xorg-x11 opengl" to package.use. I did this on my system (xorg 6.8.2, ATI Radeon 9600 using the 'radeon' driver, KDE 3.4) and this problem went completely away. If this seems to solve the problem, I guess we'll have to try and figure out whether all gento x.org/opengl users are afflicted, or is just us KDE users who are so lucky! -Richard -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
