This is not the way to improve the distro. You're on the wrong track
there. And you weren't being friendly.
In this case, a bug is like a package. Nobody "owns" a package, but one
or more people maintain it, and do so deliberately in a certain way.
While there are general guidelines to follow, it's rude to barge in and
change everything the way you want without asking.
As for improving the distro, I am sure there are better ways to improve
how we handle bugs instead of bickering about arbitrary bug changes. How
we classify bugs is very inconsistent, and if anyone could formulate a
good plan for Bugzilla improvements, it would be you. The atoms field
you mentioned would be a great start.
