The systemd developers have made it clear that they are not interested
in supporting systems that we wish to support. That is why we forked. We
intend to keep under a compatible license so that they can cherry-pick
patches that they deem to fit their narrow criteria for being
appropriate. However, it would be a waste of valuable development time
for us to cherry-pick patches for them on the chance that they might
decide to consider entertaining the idea of merging them.
