There's some history with the original author that contributes to people being negative about this. This is not the first thread about python-3 and many feel that it's being forced on them when they have no use for it (but the forcing part doesn't match reality that much any more as has been shown). I don't think anyone is against fixing the deps but who takes the job of reviewing them all? Regards, Petteri
