Then I'd like to see a way to define the decompression commands.
That is: with bsdtar you can avoid having gzip, unzip, cpio around, as it 
extracts the files using libarchive (which then uses libz and libbz2 for 
those files), so you can extract tar, tgz, tbz2, tar.Z, cpio and zip archives 
(and iso files) with a single command.

If it was possible, I'd like to use bsdtar for all them and remove cpio and 
unzip packages (gzip is still needed for other things).
