Hi PJ You are right: this first Polaris release only includes source distribution (which is the minimum required). There are two reasons: - we did/do a change in the runtime framework and the binary artifacts, completely changing the LICENSE/NOTICE and layout (that's why we don't have LICENSE/NOTICE, see https://github.com/apache/polaris/issues/1031). So, technically speaking, we can do binary artifacts in this release, but we preferred to focus on the 1.0.0 release for binary artifacts. - we wanted to already do a pass on the source distribution in this release, and focus on the binary artifacts for the next release
The next release (1.0.0) will include binary distributions (and binary artifacts).
