+1 to modifying the download page. Would it also make sense for an IPMC
member to remove the source artifacts?

Yes, or rather, move it back to /dist/dev/ so it goes away on our download CDN, then move it back to /dist/release/ once the vote has finalized. That way we get to keep a paper trail of this transaction.

Can we remove the download links for the 0.1.0 release until the IPMC
vote passes?

Hi Stamatis,

I agree that the project should quickly run a VOTE in general@inubator.
Until that gets two additional binding votes, the release is available but
not an official release.

It appears that the mentors did not provide sufficient oversight here...

The VOTE had only two binding votes from IPMC.

An important question to ask is if the VOTE on the dev list included
3 of the podling’s Mentors. If it did then it already had 3 +1 IPMC
(binding) Votes and the general@ vote should quickly have those carried
over by those mentors.

Best,
Dave

By design there's not much anyone can do about that. [1]

Hey everyone,

Apache XTable (incubating) has recently published its first
incubating
release [1] after a successful vote in the dev list [2]. However,
the
podling didn't start a vote in general@incubator, which I believe
violates the incubator release policy [3].

I searched the incubator archives but couldn't find a similar
situation in the past so I was wondering what is the best course of
action to rectify the situation.

I would be inclined to start a VOTE now and if there are no serious
issues just leave things as they are. If blocking issues are found I
guess we will have to remove the release from the ASF infrastructure
and see what can be done with the respective maven artifacts in
central.
What do you think?

Best,
Stamatis
