Hey everyone, Apache XTable (incubating) has recently published its first incubating release [1] after a successful vote in the dev list [2]. However, the podling didn't start a vote in general@incubator, which I believe violates the incubator release policy [3].
I searched the incubator archives but couldn't find a similar situation in the past so I was wondering what is the best course of action to rectify the situation. I would be inclined to start a VOTE now and if there are no serious issues just leave things as they are. If blocking issues are found I guess we will have to remove the release from the ASF infrastructure and see what can be done with the respective maven artifacts in central. What do you think?
