That is a concern, but I also agree that it is good to help users wherever they may be. If you want to improve how apache mailing lists are searched then you can contribute to the Apache Pony Mail (incubating) project which is the software that runs https://lists.apache.org. It uses Solr. The UX for search could use improvement.
