Jurst FTR, dist.a.o exists for 3 years now (AFAIR) and for those of us who cut releases for a decade (I can't believe I have spent 10 years on an apache project...), people.a.o was the place to store such packages. At this point, I think there were some missing communication (which could be both side : either the message was not transmitted, or not read ;-) I strongly suggest that every PMC should be reminded !
