Hi Erich,

There are no formal limitations on what an Apache software can do. While there 
is some historical bias towards certain types of projects and technologies 
here, it is not set in stone or anything. The area of use can be as broad or as 
specific as its creators decide. The only practical "limitations" are:

* Apache software distribution should not bundle dependencies with incompatible 
licenses.
* The community behind the project must be diverse enough to ensure no single 
employer controls the project.

So please prepare the proposal and present it here.
