Just catching up on email after grabbing a quick breakfast.

I did give people permission to make uncontroversial changes, and
asked them to discuss here first and work to find consensus before
applying those changes. I continue to encourage people to do such. I
specifically encourage people who have put their name on the page to
do so. I encourage Simon to not only continue to do so, but also to
put his name on the page in the section on committers. Not because I
always agree with what Simon has to say but because I often don't, and
I value diversity.

If anybody wishes to make a substantially different proposal, I ask
them to find a sponsor and create a separate page. Heck, I might even
sponsor both if they each seem worthwhile. Even if they compete with
one another.
