Um, no. The only votes that are binding from the Incubator PMC are
those conducted on general@ or [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Roy's point about graduation was that the PPMC should vote for
graduation first - that can certainly happen on their list.
We're past that.
But, the
Incubator PMC shouldn't be forced to play hunt the wumpus and be
forced to subscribe to yet another mailing list to follow every
podling's official graduation vote. I'm sorry, but this is an
absolutely horrible precedent to set. -- justin
Could be. Maybe even "probably".
However, it also could be a way to get IPMC members more engaged in the
activities over which the board has charged oversight.
Clearly having every IPMC member on ever dev list for the life of the
project doesn't scale, but I do think we need to rethink the model to
get better IPMC engagement in podlings in a scalable way. Honestly,
that's what I thought the mentors were for - IPMC members that
participate, and make the actions of the podling official.
This was a gentle shake of the tree, and it has been informative for me.
Maybe the Harmony-dev vote will stand, maybe not. (I'm still waiting -
with a feeling of mild dread in my asbestos shorts - for Roy's comments :)
