You can't take any of what he says in that blog seriously. He's equally slammed Maven, and generally what he's said has some grain of truth, he's just not particularly sensitive but that's the point of that particular outlet. He's free to write what he wants, and while he's intentionally offensive, has penchant for the profane, that should have nothing with him being allowed to start participating. Whether the participation continues is a different matter all together.
He's an extremely good developer, writes good documentation, and is an extremely good communicator (seen him talk many times, and been on many concalls with him for JSR-277) so don't be to quick to pass judgement before you see him actually interact with people here.
