Server: /sbin/ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:90:00:00:00:01 /sbin/ifconfig eth0 10.0.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 up Client: /sbin/ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:90:00:00:00:02 /sbin/ifconfig eth0 10.0.0.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 up And then try to ping?
