Oh wow. Happy birthday gdal! And thank you Frank Warmerdam.

That means I've been using gdal for just over 20 years, though the oldest 
extant public record I could find is 2008 
(ref<https://www.mail-archive.com/gdal-dev@lists.osgeo.org/msg00163.html>). 
This makes me feel old, in a good way.
