Hello!

binaries was provided for my company with toolchain for cortus mcu development. They are proprietary and compiled for windows. I can't send those for you, because I signed NDA and definitely loose my job. So, this is (1) violation. No sources was provided in package, this is (2) violation. I will ask for sources, and if they will refuse to send sources, contact your again.

Thank for explanation!

But I can't find nir Cortus architecture on gcc official support page,
nor sources on Cortus site.

Manufacturer is producing billions MCU worldwide and toolchain is
closed-sources, but based on gcc. How is this possible?
Can you show us where the binary download is located? What makes you say
that it's closed-source?

The GPL does not (and could not) require that somebody distribute their
software to anybody or everybody. A company is permitted to only
distribute GPL'ed software to those they choose or to nobody at all.

The GPL is only relevant when a company *does* choose to distribute their
software to an entity. What that happens, it imposes (to oversimplify)
two requirements:

(1) They may not prevent that entity from further distributing the software
(2) They must make the source code available

Do you have any evidence that Cortus is violating either of those provisions?
