Status
======

The GCC 4.8.1-rc2 release candidate has been released, several important
issues have been reported and thus we really need another release candidate.
The branch remains frozen now, all changes require release manager approval
until the final release of GCC 4.8.1 which should happen roughly at the end
of this week. The bar for acceptable changes to the branch is higher than
after rc1 though, only very severe issues should be acceptable at this
point.
