It will definitely be harder than you think. Lots of changes like this are easy enough when described at a high level of abstraction, but the implementation details are complex. And I agree with others, this is an undesirable extension to the language regardless of difficulty of implementation.

I discourage the effort, I don't think the result, even if you do achieve a working version, would ever be accepted. Better to spend your effort figuring out more appropriate ways to solve the problem.
