gcc, here, is the FreeBSD system compiler.
gcc (GCC) 4.2.1 20070719  [FreeBSD]

If I set my path to include ~/work/bin (where the 4.6.0 gcc lives)
as the first directory to search, libquad builds fine.  So, what
is the minimum required gcc version needs to build libquad?
