The fact that testing under Cygwin is so much slower certainly has an impact. A lot of people used to develop under Darwin, but unfortunately it tended to break quite often, and it often became very hard to bootstrap without the latest Mac OS X and Xcode. The fact that Apple is not maintaining the port anymore didn't help, as Jack knows. Paolo
