There are two stable release branches maintained at any time, one current and one previous, and the most recent versions on each of those can be seen under the word "Status" in the right-hand of the two main columns on the front page at http://gcc.gnu.org/, where it shows you that 4.4.1 and 4.3.4 are the latest releases on the current and previous stable branches respectively. cheers, DaveK
