Thanks, and sorry everyone else for bothering you, Ralf Hello mpc maintainers, The tarball referenced in <http://www.loria.fr/~zimmerma/free/mpc.html> builds on powerpc970-apple-darwin8.11.0. Unlike the configure scripts for gmp and mpfr, I had to use configure CC="gcc -m64" CXX="g++ -m64" for mpc. All checks passed. Updating the tarball to a newer Libtool release will improve build time. Is this mailing list already enlisted in gmane.org? If not, it would be nice if you did so, so that non-subscribers like me (Cc: me on replies, please) can reply without breaking threads.
