The plan was to add the ports to the deprecation list (so they can be reenabled by a small patch defining IRA_COVER_CLASSES and removing them from the deprecation list) and remove them after 4.4 branches: only the old allocator would be removed from trunk right now, not the ports themselves. -- Joseph S.
