Posting the full patch will be more helpful.
As to the failure itself. Suggest you reduce the it a small case, or at least find out exactly with function in gzip is miscompiled and split that function. It might not the scheduling problem. Finding exactly which instruction in .s is wrong will help tracing back to problem in your patch. Thanks - Joey
