I don't see where you get the impression that stage1 will start soon. Certainly stage3 of 4.4 will end soon, but that will be followed by the usual regression and documentation fixes phase until we reach the magic 100 regressions at which point we will consider releasing 4.4.0. Only after that happened stage1 will start. I do not expect this to happen this year. Richard.
