Ah, right, the GNU case. Sorry, I totally did not have that one in mind, even though I know of similar things as I’m also a FreeWRT developer, which cross-bootstraps a gcc/µClibc system. So the best option for the (non-glibc) BSDs would probably be to hard-code SSP-in-libc support depending on the operating system version from the target tuple? bye, //mirabilos -- [...] if maybe ext3fs wasn't a better pick, or jfs, or maybe reiserfs, oh but what about xfs, and if only i had waited until reiser4 was ready... in the be- ginning, there was ffs, and in the middle, there was ffs, and at the end, there was still ffs, and the sys admins knew it was good. :) -- Ted Unangst über *fs
