There are a number of memory leaks in various SVK 1.x releases[1]. SVK 2.0.1 should fix most (all?) of those, plus it has a much more efficient method available that can be used to mirror the gcc repo (using svn replay).
I am giving svk 2.0.1 a try. Compiling it was a bit painful, but now it is working. The only problem I had so far is that I had to enable overcommit in the kernel, or svk would be unable to fork before stating to commit on the depot!
