Actually, I should mention that I haven't fully bootstrapped GCC with this change (although it fixes the build failure I saw before). libgcc/configure.ac also uses $target for something else so I'm not sure it's okay to canonicalize it. But at least the patch shows the problem and a possible solution, so maybe you (or someone who understsands the build scripts) can fully test it. -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/
