I think we should take into consideration the option. For corner case options that aren't used very often, removing them outright be well be reasonable. For other options, while you might remove the functionality, you'll want to accept the option and warn/note that it has been deprecated.

Technically, you propose, then we discuss, then we deprecate for a major release cycle, then in the next major release, we remove it (if we still feel it is best).

The options you listed don't trigger any, please don't do that, with me.
